The unveiling ceremony for the HSK Test Center at Yeditepe University was successfully held on May 18 at the Marriott Hotel in Istanbul’s Şişli district. The Confucius Institute at Yeditepe University has officially become one of the certified HSK test centers in Türkiye, marking an important milestone in the development of Chinese language education at the university.
This event held special significance as it coincided with two important anniversaries: the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Türkiye and the 30th anniversary of Yeditepe University.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Oğuz Bayat, Vice Rector of Yeditepe University, and Qu Shan, Marketing Director of Hanban International. The ceremony was attended by Liu Songyan, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute; Prof. Dr. Natalya Ketenci, Turkish Director; Li Weili, Deputy Director; Cenker Han, International Relations at Yeditepe University; and distinguished guests from various sectors, all of whom witnessed this meaningful occasion together.
The HSK Test Center at the Yeditepe University Confucius Institute has completed the establishment of its essential facilities and is now ready to administer standardized Chinese language examinations. The center's opening will greatly improve access to HSK examinations for students and Chinese language learners in Türkiye by providing more convenient, professional, and standardized testing services. In addition, the center will further strengthen the integrated “teaching and examination” system for Chinese language education and contribute to the sustainable development of Chinese language teaching at Yeditepe University.
The establishment of the HSK Test Center represents not only a major step forward in the international Chinese language education strategy of the Confucius Institute at Yeditepe University, but also a valuable contribution to cultural and educational exchanges between China and Türkiye.
