On May 18, 2019, Vice Rector of Yeditepe University Professor Ahmet Aydın welcomed Yu Yunfeng, the Deputy Chief Executive of the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) and the Deputy Director-General of Hanban, and the accompanying members of the Hanban delegation. Vice Rector Aydın informed the delegation of Yeditepe University’s experience in Chinese language teaching and how the Confucius Institute contributed to this effort. A consensus was reached on the role of the Confucius Institute as a platform for cultural and academic exchanges and cooperation between China and Turkey. The Hanban delegation then visited the Confucius Institute at Yeditepe University. During the visit, Deputy Director-General Yu Yunfeng inquired about the Institute’s work in the previous years and put forward suggestions. The Deputy Director-General finally paid a visit to the Knowledge Center at Yeditepe University to examine the collection of books and sources in Chinese language.
