Six students from Confucius Institute at Yeditepe University won the third "Chinese Consul General Scholarship"

On May 10, 2019, the Consulate General in İstanbul hosted the third “Chinese Consul General Scholarship” award ceremony at Shangri-La Hotel. During the ceremony, 70 students from various universities in İstanbul received awards. Consul General Cui Wei, Deputy Governor of İstanbul İsmail Gültekin and Vice Rector of Yeditepe University Professor Ahmet AYDIN attended the ceremony. Consul General Cui Wei called on the students to work hard in order to promote exchanges and cooperation between Turkey and China in the context of the “Belt and Road Initiative”. Yeditepe University students Emre İnan Karahan (Department of History), Zeynep Günsal (Department of Political Science and International Relations), Güler Nehir Akın (Department of International Business and Trade), Sarya Özge Sevim (Faculty of Law), Gökçen Gökten (Department of Management Information Systems), and Kübra Bakmaz (Faculty of Pharmacy) received their awards. The students agreed on how this award would serve as their principal motivation in carrying on with their Chinese language studies.
